What’s the difference between a Registered Dietitian and a Nutritional Biochemist? I get asked that question all the time!
A Registered Dietitian is a Food Scientist and helps to meet your nutritional needs. A 4 year degree in Food Science is required.
A Nutritional Biochemist has a 4 year degree in Medical Science and does graduate work or has a graduate degree in a medical field, usually in research. A Nutritional Biochemist is a “Medical Scientist“.
So a Registered Dietitian can help you with Nutritional needs…but a Nutritional Biochemist is schooled in both nutrition and Medical science.
